Giacinto Tesio

Giacinto Tesio was an Italian painter born in Turin in August 1849.He died there in 1927. He was a pupil of Andrea Gastaldi, Antonio Fontanesi and Alberto Maso Gilli at the Accademia Albertina. A diligent author of genre paintings, he portrayed scenes of domestic and child life, with graceful art and harmonious coloring. He was also an accurate landscape painter, restorer and copyist of works in the Pinacoteca di Torino, and taught drawing at the Umberto I College and the Villa della Regina Institute in Turin.
