Gabriel Englinger was a French artist, decorator and designer.
He went to the École Boulle in Paris to study.
He worked in the Galeries Lafayette department store’s La Maitrise design workshop from 1922 to 1928. At the same time, he worked for Cornille as a designer and furniture builder. Studio Abran created a 1928 boudoir and a 1929 work cabinet and smoking stand, among other ensembles. In Grenoble, he taught decoration, and in Voiron, where he settled after WWII, he taught drawing. Between 1949—63, abandoning his other activities, he taught decoration, Ecole Régionale des Beaux-Arts, Rennes.
