The landscape painter worked and lived in Vienna. Initially he was a student of J. Hörwarter and later attended the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. He undertook several study trips that took him through Austria-Hungary and Bavaria. Franz Stephan Paschinger exhibited his landscape paintings in Vienna, Bern, St. Petersburg and Dessau.
