Frantz Binjé

François Joseph Binjé, known as Frans or Franz Binjé, was born in Liège on 10 October 1835 and died in Schaerbeek on 10 May 1900. He was a painter of seascapes and city views, watercolourist and pastel artist. Binjé studied with Henri Van der Hecht, and became a teacher despite being self-taught. He participated in both regional and international exhibitions such as Berlin in 1869 and Paris in 1900.
