Emmeline Deane (English, 1858-1944)
Emmeline Deane was a British painter.
Emmeline Deane was born in Bath, United Kingdom, the youngest of 13 children in an extended family that grew out of several writers and artists. Deane received an art education in Paris and exhibited several times at the Royal Academy of Arts London. She remained single and, due to financial resources, was able to travel a lot and devote herself intensively to painting. Deane was particularly valued for her portraiture.
