David von Cöln

David Andersson von Cöln, or von Cöllen was a Swedish painter.

He was the son of Anders Johansson von Cöln and Brita Stenkell and married to Helena Broms. He was the father of Friedrich von Cöln and Lorentz von Cöln.

Von Cöln received his basic painting education at Ehrenstrahl's school . Among his works left behind are about ten portraits in the State's portrait collection at Gripsholm Castle and floral motifs on wallpaper for the castles Gripsholm , Drottningholm and Ulriksdal.
