Christian Kongstad Petersen was a Danish draftsman, educated at Kunstnernes Frie Studieskoler 1884-1900, worked as a telegraph operator 1878-1920.
Christian Kongstad Petersen's starting point was the study of nature, but the symbolism of the 1890s later influenced his depictions of eccentric human types.
His art is inspired by the works of Hans Christian Andersen and Charles Dickens. Christian Kongstad Petersen received the Eckersberg Medal in 1935.
