Carl Pischinger was an Austrian painter, etcher and lithographer.
Pischinger studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts in St. Annahof. From the beginning, Pischinger specialized in animal painting in oil and watercolor. The influence of Carl Schindler and Johann Matthias Ranftl is noticeable in his works. From 1860 Pischinger regularly spent his summers at Nikolaus Dumba's country estate in Tattendorf and in the autumn in Liezen, where he had received a pension and free residence from Nikolaus Dumba. He died in his hunting lodge in Liezen in 1886.
