Follow

Heinrich studied in Dresden and Vienna where he knew members of the Nazarene Brotherhood. In 1819 he met both Johan Christian Dahl and Caspar David Friedrich. The next year he was listed among Friedrich's students. Often in frail health, Heinrich died of pulmonary disease in 1822 at the age of 28, while travelling to Italy for the first time.
