Anton Hula was an Austrian Realist painter.
Hula studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Eugen Sturm-Skrla (1894-1943). After his studies he worked in Vienna as a landscape, still life, genre and portrait painter. During the First World War he served as a first lieutenant, after which he became a civil servant from 1920 and office colleague of Emil Beischläger. He was a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus from July 18, 1946.
His painting was characterized by a high level of precision. He remained active as a painter even during the Second World War .
