André Henri Dargelas

French, 1828-1906
Follow

André Henri Dargelas was a French painter. His works were particularly successful in Great Britain following an enthusiastic review by the English art critic John Ruskin who appreciated the sentimental vision of childhood typical of Dargelas. His main themes were the scenes of everyday life, with a predilection for the representation of children.
