Graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, Elena Redmond was raised in many different homes across the neighborhoods of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Using self-portraiture to explore themes of desire, privacy, and iterations of the body, Redmond develops layered compositions that reflect her exploration of the ‘self’.
